Johanna von Oldershausen, born in 1985 in Germany, is a digital collage artist, who currently lives and works in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
She studied art and design foundation at the Chelsea College of Art and Design in London (2004-2005) followed by stage and costume design at the Berlin Weißensee School of Art (2005-2010) and the Accademia di Belle Arti in Bologna (2009). She earned her diploma with the stage and costume design for “Orlando” at the Grillo Theater in Essen, Germany in 2010.
Johanna has worked as an assistant for various Stage and Costume Designer such as Patrick Bannwart, Ezio Toffolutti and Theun Mosk, before creating her own theatre and film designs at Schauspielhaus Bochum and the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg in Germany.
During her studies she practiced many different art techniques, and it was there that she discovered her passion for collage. In 2019 Johanna started to experiment with the iPad and has found a unique way to combine her own analogue drawings with own photos as well as magazine clippings and digitally paint over these. All works are printed on Hahnemühle fine art paper and vary from limited editions to unique pieces.
She is represented by the Berlin based gallery Kunst100.
